REFUND POLICY

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your contribution or purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund.

To be eligible for a refund, you must contact us within 30 days of your contribution or purchase and your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Payments for events or seminars that have already occurred
  • Downloadable products

To complete your refund, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

  • Merchandise with obvious signs of use
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds of items

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at newsmediaroyalcommission@gmail.com and send your item to: 54 Victoria St Carlton South VIC Australia 3053.

Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 54 Victoria St Carlton South VIC Australia 3053.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

PRIVACY

INTRODUCTION

Australians For A Murdoch Royal Commission is the campaign established to advance the case for the Royal Commission to ensure a strong, diverse Australian news media as set out in the e-Petition to the Parliament of Australia (Petition EN1938). The petition received 501,876 signatures over the 28 days to 4 November 2020.

Australian For A Murdoch Royal Commission is committed to protecting your privacy and providing you with information and services relevant to you. The Campaign complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Policy (Policy) should be read in conjunction with the Privacy Act and the APPs.

HOW THIS POLICY APPLIES

This Policy applies to personal information the Campaign collects from you:

CAMPAIGN WEBSITES

Our websites collect two types of information. The first type is anonymous information. The web server makes a record of your visit and a range of information about your visit that is considered de-identified data.

The second type of information that our websites collect is personal information. Personal information is requested in order to provide personalised and enhanced services that are not available to anonymous users. Cookies may be used on our websites.

Our websites may contain links to other websites and social media sites including, but not limited to, Facebook and Twitter. We are not responsible for the privacy policies of the entities responsible for those sites. You should ensure that you are familiar with and approve of the terms on which sites are provided by the relevant third-party provider(s)

THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH PERSONAL INFORMATION IS COLLECTED, HELD, USED AND DISCLOSED

We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information, including your email address, when and where required in order to:

  • inform members about developments on the Campaign or related to the Campaign;
  • respond to queries and refer users to appropriate individuals or organisations;
  • carry out and improve the Campaign’s operations;
  • manage the Campaign’s relationship with you;
  • conduct surveys and research;
  • report on the campaign’s achievements;
  • provide educational services and professional development; and/or
  • to subscribe you to Campaign newsletter(s).

USING YOUR INFORMATION FOR DIRECT MARKETING

You consent to our use and disclosure of your personal information for the purposes of direct marketing which may include providing you with information about campaigns, events, products or services which may be of interest to you.

Where we believe a third party offer may be of interest to you we may offer you the opportunity to engage with a third party provider.  Information that you subsequently provider to a third party will be subject to their applicable policies, terms and conditions.  You should ensure you are aware of the applicable policies, terms and conditions before providing your information to any other party.

UNSUBSCRIBING AND OPTING OUT

HOW THE CAMPAIGN HOLDS PERSONAL INFORMATION

Wherever reasonably practicable we hold electronic personal information on data servers that are owned and controlled by us in Australia. We take all reasonable measures to ensure the security of our servers and the information they contain including user specific logins and password protection.

We will take reasonable steps to ensure that any third party providers comply with the APPs, or are subject to a law or scheme that is at least substantially similar to the way in which the APPs protect information.
